FaceBook Farmville is an online game that you play through the FaceBook forum. The game is about building up a farm and adding neighbors who will help you out along the way. It can be a little confusing when you first start out on Farmville because there are so many things that you can do with the farm. It helps to know some of the features so that you can build your farm properly.

Tips for getting started on FaceBook Farmville:

Neighbors

You will find that many of your friends are already farmers in Farmville. Request that they add you as a neighbor and accept the request for neighbors whenever you get the chance. This will help you a great deal because neighbors can give you gifts and you may never have to purchase anything for your farm, thereby saving your cash. Just don’t forget to return the favor and give gifts to them in return. You can also help on each others farms. When you do, you will receive a bit of extra cash along the way.

Crops

You will have to build up your crops. It can seem like forever before you can afford to buy what you want. Don’t get too caught up in worrying about purchasing houses and things. You will have plenty of time and cash for that later. You have to build up the farm and get to certain levels in order to unlock features along the way. Plant what you can and don’t worry about the locked features. You will get those soon enough.

Gifts

When you receive gifts, you can do one of two things. You can either use the gift or you can sell it. Keep all trees and animals that you receive. These will be worth money once they are ready to be harvested, milked or whatever you are waiting for in the particular animal. These will also help you reach the higher levels. Be a good neighbor though, give gifts to your neighbors and they will reciprocate.

Animals

It is important to note that your animals will run off if you don’t fence them in. Purchase fencing and put the animals in for their safety. Once they wander off, someone else will take care of them. If you right click on the animals (or trees for that matter) you will be given a list of options. For the animals, make sure one of the options is to “allow to walk”. If it says “stay” instead, click on it. This will keep your animals from moving around all over the place.

Stay Organized

Keep your farm organized. It will grow much faster than you think. Organize the trees and animals. It can get confusing after you have been playing for a while if you aren’t organized. It will make it much easier to get your farming done in Farmville if you organize yourself.

Follow the above FarmVille tips and watch your farm flourish. You will have a lot of fun playing this game and will become addicted to it. It can take a lot of time to do your farming once you have built the farm up, but it will be time well spent.
